Rainwater Harvesting – 1 Water barrel = 31 toilet flushes

The rainwater barrel feeds water directly into the toilet cistern.

6m of gutter on 27 sq. metres of roof should fill the water barrel in 1 hour of rainfall. Does it work? I don't know it hasn't rained for 3 weeks.

250 litre barrel with drain pipe, it does need an overflow pipe!

The rainwater barrel tap has a thread on each end, one end screws into the barrel the other connects to 15mm plastic pipe.
